High Speed Sync Flash Bridal Shoot using the Sony FE 100mm STF with a 1957 Triumph

This particular REAL Wedding Workshop took place in Beaumont, Texas for a couple named Lucas and Shea. This video takes place the day before the wedding where Jason takes the bride out for bridal portraits with the group of photographers that are attending the workshop.
For this particular shoot Jason used the Sony A7Rii with the 100mm STF lens. The light set up was the Flashpoint Xplor 600 with the Westcott Rapid Box XL as the modifier. Below is a link to the gear used:

That STF lens is awesome. Bokeh even the focus area looks very soft. From the pictures I can see its super sharp with super smooth bokeh. Got to get myself wedding jobs to pay for that lens.

i love your videos and have learned a lot from your youtube Channel. your workshops you are working with the clients and your students are standing in the background or assisting you. when do the teaching come into play other than watching you shoot. i understand this is a short video. would you post maybe and old workshop in its entirety. i know that would help others and myself that love what you do but, thats on the fence about coming to your workshop jump right in and attend. thanks for what you do bro.

Only criticism would be the overly retouched images. Looks like Portrait Professional software (?), which I don't use.....plastic skin effect. But that lens really looks good. I'm waiting to try the Sony 85 1.8 as it comes out soon.

Jason, your photography is exactly the style that I am looking to achieve. Your work is off the charts incredible. I don't see how you could have made this bride any more beautiful than she is but you really brought out her beauty here. I'm wondering since others are also shooting Sony's in some of your videos if they are getting as great of shots as you are? I understand you are the one with the OCF and they aren't but do they get to try it in the workshop? Now, I completely look up to you as a mentor so please don't take ANY offense to this but I understand you getting great shots during your workshops and being happy about it, but I kind of notice when you boast about your own pics and show the other shooters or even the bride, the reaction from the other shooters don't seem to excited. The one guy in the early part of the video seemed a little put off by it. I'm just saying if I ever get the chance to meet you and do a workshop with you, I'll feel pretty shitty if the only pics that are incredible are yours. Maybe I'm wrong and the teaching part is left out of the videos? Again, no offense given here, you are kind of an idle here if you know what I mean! Thanks.

Jason, even though this is a new lens, how would you gauge it against the FE 90mm? Pics are beautiful and im ready to get the FE 90mm as it also boasts beautiful images and a macro function. Both f2.8 max. Kind of hard to bite the latter... Thoughts?

Emerson McArthur get the 90mm if you want the low light capability and versatility, but get the 100mm if you're willing to only shoot in daylight but get the best background blur in the world

LB HOPRSNFD I don't think they do. But they'll take natural light shots that are decent, and then when Jason shows them his shots they'll realize the difference and benefits of hss. I think

nice lens but i dont think i would buy it when its lets in the light of an f5.6. i would much rather have the 85 GM f1.4. Better dof. better low light. so better image quality because you are not using your iso. and better blur or bokeh below f2.8
