Those are some of the best shots of trains going fast that I have seen on KZbin.

1:12 : Un des meilleurs trains à grande vitesse, selon moi! For English speaking viewers out there: the train at 1:12 is one of my favourite ever high speed trains!

What masters the French are with high speed trains. Amazing to think that as far back as 1955 they achieved 300 klph using 1500V DC locos on test. What next I wonder, after running a special test tgv up to 574kph. Alstom do not do this just to showoff but to push the rail to even more threatening competition for European air services. Whilst other countries think about it the French go and do it and leave them all to eat dust
@ptitguerrier139 жыл бұрын
steven rowe yes , a record is to show the performance of the French quality high speed to other countries , it is more communication than other thing
@Steven_Rowe9 жыл бұрын
Charpentier Lucas well I am originally from the UK but live in Australia, way back in the 60s whilst Britain was developing diesel traction to replace steam the French had already done 331kph in 1955. Britain has just bought trains from Hitachi, and it maked me wonder why a countey that invented the steam loco and pioneered the industrial revolution cant do the same as the French. Look at Alstom, what a great pioneering company. They must surely have the airlines worried. Is there still much 1500DC left?
@ptitguerrier139 жыл бұрын
yes in the south on France, majoritary :)
@TheChicagoL9 жыл бұрын
+steven rowe The airlines in France, as well as the rest of Europe DO have something to worry about. But as far as the USA is concerned, the airlines can breath very, very, VERY easy when it comes to any competition from passenger rail transport, including Acela.
@Steven_Rowe9 жыл бұрын
Charpentier Lucas i just came back from France i live in Australia a backward place for rail transport Even on 1500DC we reached 200kph using loco hauled stock. The french simply are the best. I was impressed by the trams in Tours using Alstom apc system .. It is indeed tragic that my birth place Britain who invented railways ripped up so many lines in the 60s even a 1500dc lline opened in 1954 was pulled up in 1981. Now the country is ruined by the selfish private car. And neurotic motorists. Very laughable that in 1951 a new steam loco was designed to show the world that b rutain still ked the world with a steam oh yes i love steam but in 1955 2 FRENCH elecrric locos did 303kph. Typical French never complacent always pushing boundaries
