📜 Video Description 📜
Poker is a game that requires complete honesty and accountability and so I asked my friend Alex the high stakes pro to give me some brutal feedback on my game as I grind some 100NL on stream. The thought of this initially made me uncomfortable but sometimes the things we least want to do are the very things we need to do the most.

Just remember that the results are technically meaningless because he’s teaching us how to play hands. Period. Also I’ve heard countless pros and coaches say that it’s essential to not be results oriented in order to be a good winning player…

The problem I see is getting a high stake player do make assessments of your play in a lower stake game. As far am I'm concerned people play very differently depending on the stakes, more specifically the stakes compared the the individuals bank roll, most people follow this, you'll always have tue gambler, Although the cards and rules and standard plays are the same, it's still poker, but it's completely different game depending in certain factors, Lots of factors, tournament or cash games, buy back or not, top ups or not, stakes , likely hood of players having got in with freerol opportunities, Noticing the difference between how certain nationalities bet, what they'll call, Brazil calls everything, usually, Mexico and Germany are aggressive and mostly by the book, Eastern EU players always raise their big blind regardless, just to protect it. Take a lot to get them off just losing big blind. Romanians similar to Brazil but love slow rolling, So much more , its never just the cards, Until you play with players that play exactly like you. Then it's more about cards but still, All this talk is annoying and headache material, You feel all things when playing but to uses your words to analyse it all is exhausting and makes you doubt yourself more. Never think too much on a hand. Play like chess, have your next move planned or have two options for your next decision before you make this present decision, that way you never need ti think too long and fold what could be the better hand, have a plan and stick to it. Sometimes each player requires a separate plan to play them. Buy you have ti think ahead, know what your doing on the turn if this ir that happens and same woth river while you looking at the flop. Don't wait.then you'll think yourself into doubt. I don't think you can teach people how to play, you can teach then the rules them what they should have done or whatever but its an intuitive game, so if you don't "get it" then you just don't get it. But then shitty players when given too much credit can take you down with very little thought or skill. Never underestimate the mind set of your opponents and also equally so. Never over estimate their mind sets, and let them steal the pots with just representations of a better hand, theyll get a beat on you and that's it then. Because in trying ti change your tactics and thinking you dig yourself a hole. And they'll Bury too

That first fold was atrocious. For block you’re probably beating value (worse sets jack ten even maybe ace jack that doesn’t want to see a big bet)
@TheMiningProbe
@TheMiningProbe 5 ай бұрын
They'd be stupid to do it with AJ, JT is also behind the whole value range so should never block for value. Worse sets are raised earlier or folded before the river

About the 99 hand... I don't think the fold is so obvius. While i do agree there's not many bluffs there, especially not for that sizing, there might be just enough of 2pair(especially if he might be playing J10off,109off) and slowplayed set of fives blocking river to win 1/5 of the time. Also info is worth some $$$ and you discurage him from bluffing you in similar spots in the future.
