Charlotte’s interview was excellent, fifty years ago, yes I know I’m old I had a similar experience when having my son, complicated birth very traumatic and so shocked to hear that in 2024 women are still having such bad things happening at childbirth. Never really bonded with my baby and now after all those years I realise I had post natal depression but of cause then nobody knew about it. It’s so sad to hear nothing has changed and you can never get that time back with your baby and I’m so glad you did this interview, excellent, well done. 🌸

It was sad to hear about Louise ' s story ,so many women have been let down and not heard during giving birth ,so many traumatic experiences and pain they go through, I can relate to her ,as I also was let down by the doctors and nurses during giving birth ,it took years to forgive ,but not forget

Indeed and horrible. Not to say she wasn't dealing with all those complications, but she mention "septic". If she would have been truly septic, she would most likely not be sittning there with all her limbs intact although. When septic, you get so incredibly ill, and there isn't a chance they would have let her go home. Perhaps she mixes up the diagnoses.

Upon marriage, 44 years ago,I told my husband that I ovulate a few dates a month and then I menstruate a few days a month, then I am either pre ovulation, post ovulation,premenstrual , or post menstrual. So a few hours a month I am free. I will conceive, be pregnant for 9 months, go through labour,childbirth, menstruate for six weeks after birth and go through massive hormonal change. Will breastfeed for one year and as it turned out didn’t sleep for approximately 2 years with each baby. I had two. Then one day a rollercoaster ride for menopause. I do a lot for reproduction. The least he can do is wear a condom. We women really pay the price to produce children.

Great episode and really love Juliette’s outfit. Also, fabulous interview with Louise, so sad to hear what happened to her during her labor. It’s 2024, healthcare for woman should be so much better. But I am so grateful shes talking about her journey as there are so many struggling mothers who give up on their life as they feel unheard and unseen.
