Here's the final episode of the second series of High Street Histories featuring illustrated conversations between historian Ivan Bunn and writer Dean Parkin, exploring Kirkley & the south of Lowestoft.
Episode 9 lifts the curtain on the checkered histories of two cinemas on the south side of the bridge - The Palace, now a bar and restaurant, and The Hollywood, still opening its door to movie-goers and now called the East Coast Cinema.

Created and edited by Dean Parkin, this episode features archive photographs from the Jack Rose Collection, the Bert Collyer Collection and from Ivan Bunn. The opening credits includes contemporary footage of Kirkley filmed by Joshua Freemantle's Sunrise Studios.
