The phrase, "at any cost," has been proven time and time again to be the modus operandi that depicts Trump's actions for years. I really don't think the election is that close. Forget the polls, let's look at it from an objective point of view. Trump has never won the popular vote, at his peak popularity, this year you have tons of republicans who voted for him in the past not voting for him this year. How is it possible he could get more votes than the previous two elections? There is no "hidden trump vote", these people have had 9 years to come out of the closet and in fact are louder and prouder now, so arrogant they say the quiet part out loud. I saw commentary that suggested the republican party has been significantly more successful in registering new voters in pensilvannia than democrats. if we assume those new voters stick to their base, the number people outraged from that comment - enough to add An additional vote - to offset the new registrant difference become difficult to impossible to overcome. it a certainty not all 660k PR were voting one party over the other, so let's say it split down the middle, 330k each party. if only half people vote anyway, so 165k each side, how many of the 165k will actually flip over that comment. if trumps registered additional 100k people, you gotta change the mind of more than that. [change the mind of 100k out of 165k or 2/3 of PR people voting republican before the comment must change there mind n vote democrat its a big big ask to get a win on narrow single issue that way.
