We are so surrounded by the darkness, we have no other choice but to embrace it. (ugh, it sounds so goth, sorry) I like to make music and lyrics, and what I write in the winter in the darkness is not even comparable to the things I write when the sun is around me all the time. I think discomfort is one of the main drives when it comes to creativity.

Hello from Norway 🙂 I just saw this comment, and I wanted to give you MY favorite performance of the song, by another Norwegian singer. Her name is Mina Lund and she entered The Voice here in Norway in 2019. No one had heard anything about her before, but the attention she got during the competition actually made her pull out before the end. Few, if any, doubt that she would have won the competition. She was still studying to become a caretaker for people with special needs, as she has a much younger, mentally challenged brother herself. I went to see London Grammar in concert in Houston 7 years ago... and one of the warm up bands was this band.... I was mesmerized by her voice and their sound... I was like wow!! What a find. I talked to the band afterwards... they were so nice and humble. So glad that they are still together and getting a little exposure. I’m a musician and a music snob... these guys are great!

Oslo 30.4 Higasakite Live . My daughter (31) and I (63) went together to the concert....and what a night ! They played all the songs we know so well and 3 new songs , all 3 so beautiful,Jesus ! Especially "To Assign Properties ",this one blew me away to a beautiful place ,wow..They left the stage without performing "Lover,where do you live, but that came as an extra.and everybody went home glowing, with a big smile on their faces My daughter and I loved this gig, interesting that they HIT people fom 18 to 63 !..If you get a chance to see Higasakite live , just DO it ! I've seen a lot of live bands, but Highasakite "kills" them all. Have a phenomenal day !

I'm not a fan of the original. The drone scrambles my brain. Highasakite more than nailed this and, for me, completely surpassed the original. They made it their own and created something amazing out of it. Well done and excellent work!
