This means either: • Ellie became an adult VERY quickly • These possums by the mother aren't Crash and Eddie and have all since long passed, and "Crash" and "Eddie" are possibly entirely new opossums in each movie and die between each movie, idk how big the time gap between each movie is • Crash and Eddie are bloomin' ancient for opossums, especially by the 5th movie and may simply not age • Opossum lifespans are/were significantly longer in this universe • The animators don't know/care about their lifespans in the real world because welcome to the world of animation (this is probably the most likely answer)
