Im a white man,I live in a small midwest town,I seen a black guy walking down the street the other day,He said he was new to this State,I welcomed him and told him Jesus Loves him,and ministered to him,tears fell from his eyes,he told me he got saved in 2002,spent a life sentence in a level 5 prison,he was waiting for his sister,she was getting out of prison soon.He asked me,where is all the black people?I said,they live on the other side of town,but I know them,love them.Glory Jesus.(LOVE)

I just can't get enough of this Pastor singing these ild hymns. These are song that are Soul searching they just touch you .We need more this world is dying all over.We need a cleaning from from front to back.I would never thought that we wiuld would not able to go in God's house on Sunday morning's with out wearing masks. We need to get God back in peoples lives or we will perish please don't let the Devil win.
@Honesttalks2879 жыл бұрын
I stumbled onto one of these videos, and I really believe that those older songs have so much more meaning , more Spirit-filled words, by Spirit-lead believers, than the SOME (not all) of what is called christian and gospel music today. I go to a church where we sing a lot of old "coros" (Spanish speaking church), and we are considered an "old people's church" bc of lack of a lot of "pizzaz" ( lack of state-of-the-art equipment , many musicians, lights, big screen, ECt) some would say. But THE WORD is taught there, and we sing unto The Lord and He moves there. I'm afraid to say that this does not happen in a lot of churches today. I am so glad to see this pastor sing, these great "old" songs that glorifies God and not man. God bless this Pastor and the one who uploaded this video.

So will you allow me to give you some facts about this hymn and its author. This hymn was written in 1898 by Johnson Oatman Jr. He wrote over 5,000 hymns in his lifetime. According to history his father Johnson Oatman jr. was a preacher and he wanted to follow in the footsteps of him, but he felt he was not called to preach. He found his true Calling In the late eighteen hundreds. Writing hyms. He would be the first to tell you that he didn't have a great singing voice, but many of us (Songwriters) don't. Lol. It is truly a blessing, 119 years later we are still being blessed by his works. Thank you Mr. Johnson Oatman Jr. (1856-1922).
