I think it's safe to say that there's 2 things nobody's ever doubted about you JD, your vocal abilities and your work ethic. I was at the Lounges, as you well know, haha, and I've rewatched it a few times now, and genuinely didn't see a problem with the performance, but then, you're also an extreme perfectionist, so the tiniest little missed vocal change or difference would be enough for you to call it butchered, haha. And as for the "Laziness" I grew up in a Yorkshire coal mining town, and even those old lads would tell you to take a rest occasionally, I just assumed the missing bridge was because there weren't physically enough seconds in the day for you to record it after you'd got all your other work done :P All that being said, this sounds phenomenal, just like I knew it would, because it's you, and you'd never allow yourself to be anything but the best xx
