I'm a huge Journey/Schon fan, but I gotta say that this is a MUCH better version of the song than they did! Of course being a guitar player and having way more guitar doesn't hurt, but the tone and small improve of the rhythm stuff just sets it off. I listen to it just about every night on my way home. Good job Mark!

I had an Axe-FX II a little over a year ago, and I could never get my tone all the way where I wanted it, but this new firmware sounds much better!! I'm definitely considering one of the new Axe-FX II Mark 2's now!!

Mark what are you doing tone wise with the Axe FX II that other don't? most of the Axe FX II videos on youtube have this weird mid honk in the tone that I really don't like too much, it doesn't seem to matter what model preamp they choose? but your tone is always freaking killer, I mean you completely nail that 80s Ratt, TNT, Queensrych tone, good stuff :)

Yes, that is quite evident from many videos I've watched of Steve. He's just an outstanding guitar player too. I just saw him a week ago at Casino Rama on the Billy Idol tour - his tone (and playing) was outstanding, do you know if he is using the new signature SS amp on this tour?

Awesome job on the Journey covers, Neal uses the AxeFx also. In my opinion the best song Neal ever did was" Look into the Future". It would be great if sometime I log back on and see that you have mastered that song, also, there is no live archive on u tube that I can find.

Yeah when I had one last year I just couldn't get that real 3-D tube amp sound and dynamics, it lacked the feel. I tried like crazy to get at least one great sounding rhythm and lead patch, that nailed the Lynch style tone I get with amps, and I couldn't even get close. The trial period ended & I had to send it back before I got stuck with it. I just couldn't dial in. Right now I'm thinking of either trying these new mark 2 versions, or getting an EVH Combo, which I've heard sound amazing!!
