Funny story: This song killed my car speakers. I went shopping for new ones and explained that I needed speakers to handle deep bass. The sales person asked if I had a song in mind, and I told him I liked kpop. He said “I got you.” Lol he actually had this song and blasted it in the sound room. The 7th Sense shook Cartoys that day! This is debut of century. Like literally it got everyone shookt! They’re so strong in dance, rap, and also vocals. Btw NCT fans are called NCTzen. It’s like citizen of NCity~ And the boy who u love the rap flow was MARK LEE. He’s literally one of the best Kpop rapper. He’s so young and talented. He’s literally everywhere, that’s why we call him “pro debuter”, he’s in NCT U, NCT 127, NCT Dream, and SuperM. He’s the main rapper of all NCT, beside Taeyong (the white hair guy who is the leader). You should react to Misfit and Mad City. Both are full rap hard hitting song. And if you want a super deep lyrics, please react to Yestoday (both MV and lyrics extended ver.). One of the most emotional song from NCT, and it’s not even a ballad song. It’s a rap song with smooth buttery chorus by Doyoung. And this song was written by Taeyong originally in his trainee era and has so much meaning to him. About his past and all (not a romantic kind of song). He wrote it specifically to suit Doyoung’s voice in the chorus, because these 2 are bestie from the start, they have sweetest friendship, and its well known within the fandom. A song about hardships he had because of burdening past, people keep telling him to grow up and accuse him (because of misleading information), but he had to be strong and move on as a leader of NCT. Live for today and tomorrow, leave yesterday. That’s why it’s “Yestoday”. In 2018 SM decided to release this song in NCT2018’s Empathy album, and they added MARK and LUCAS to the lineup. MARK also wrote his own verse; he said it’s like a mini autobiography of him. He even mentioned “156 Bus”, a real bus he probably used to take everyday in Canada, he left the country to reach his dream and he said that “rap is my new 156”. At the end of his rap he said “hope you like it where i am now”, he talked to himself in the past. So after react to the MV please also react to the lyrics (make sure it’s the extended version, because they have the shorter version too). In NCT2020 Resonance album, SM once again release Taeyong’s song in trainee era, entitled “Light Bulb”, it was originally performed by Taeyong and Doyoung back than with title “Switch Off”. This song also very meaningful to them! ^^ But NCT has so much more to offer. Yestoday is even just a b-side (and it’s kinda underrated). So please react to more NCT songs, they have so many iconic song ^^

FYI if an SM video (SM is the entertainment company/record label NCT are under) doesn’t have subtitles the lyrics tend to be dirty/provocative or the music video wasn’t popular enough in foreign markets around the time of its release. In the case of the 7th sense the MV was just not popular in foreign markets. An example of the lyrics being to dirty is Cherry Bomb by NCT 127, that music video doesn’t have subtitles because Mark and Taeyong had no chill when writing the lyrics.

In "The 7th Sense," what you are seeing, as part of NCT's dream concept, is supposed to be the use of the 7th sense. Humans have 5 physical senses -- sight, touch, hearing, taste and smell. The 6th sense would be, the ability to perceive or sense something that isn't there, like, for example, in the movie "The Sixth Sense" where the boy could sense ghosts. So in this MV SM used the "7th sense" to describe where NCT's dream state comes from. The 7th sense transcends the physical world and it deals with the dream realm. If you look up the English translation of the lyrics, you will see how they are all talking about dreaming, so each of the scenes within the MV is a different part of the dream or each of their individual dreams. (It's really worth looking up the lyrics to help understand NCT's concept and this song better.) "The 7th Sense" came out April 4, 2016, and it is NCT-U's debut. As you saw, in this song and MV, there are 5 members who debuted as the first installment of NCT-U -- Taeyong, Mark, Ten, Jaehyun and Doyoung. This was a really important MV because it was the public's first introduction to NCT and it was NCT's first debut out of all of their sub-units. NCT-U is the group that can have any number of NCT members in it depending on the concept for the song. So even though they debuted with 5 members, you will see that NCT-U is always changing up the members and the style and sound of the group is constantly changing. NCT-U songs can have anywhere from all the members or only 1 or 2 members. The U stands for United, but I also like to think of it as Universal because of the way the group never has a fixed number of members. Ten is the one in red in the room with the plants; he is NCT's Thai member and he is also a member of WayV, NCT's Chinese sub-unit. Mark is the rapper in the pink tiled room and he is Korean-Canadian; and Taeyong is the blond who is the leader of all of NCT, so he looks after all 22+ members -- Can you imagine having that job? And Jaehyun -- the one you see with the blue and green lights highlighting him -- and Doyoung -- the one with the orange hair -- are two of NCT's main vocalists. Fun fact: About 3 months after NCT-U debuted, in July 2016, Taeyong, Mark and Jaehyun debuted again as original members of NCT-127 with the song "Fire Truck" -- along with new members Taeil, Yuta, WinWin and Haechan. And then about a months later, in August 2016, Mark debuted yet again, for the third time, as part of NCT-Dream -- the only NCT member to debut in all 3 original groups -- along with Haechan, and new members Jeno, Jaemin, RenJun, Chenle and Jisung. With their song "Chewing Gum." Mark is the oldest member of Dream and the leader of the sub-unit, and he was only 17 during all of these debuts. I think it's kind of interesting to hear Lee SooMan's (SM's founder) explanation about the creation of Neo Culture Technology and it's cool to see the epic way NCT was introduced to the media. The very first members of NCT entered wearing masks and their identities were revealed as they removed their masks. Lee SooMan is kind of known for being a little extra and going over the top and this presentation is a good example of that. LOL NCT's concept has always been centered on different aspects of dreams and dreaming, so part of the showcase sets up the group's dream concept. And it even shows how SM had always planned for NCT's Chinese sub-unit to debut from the very beginning, but it just took the company a long time to figure out how to navigate all the political issues with China, so WayV (originally planned to be called NCT-V) didn't actually end up debuting until 2019, almost 3 years later. Musicality, amazing vocals, unbelievable harmonies -- all the members sing to create those harmonies -- and impressive dancing is what you just need to come to expect from anyone from SM Entertainment. That is just what SM has become known for and it's now what is expected from anyone who is part of the company. SM cultivates talent in all aspects of performance. And that is what makes them one of the top companies in the industry and why they are one of the Big 3. You can't be an SM artist without having amazing vocals and dance skills and being great rappers is just a bonus. None of SM's rappers were chosen because of their rap skills. They were first recognized for their vocals and/or dancing, and after joining the company SM helped them discover their talent and ability as rappers. Therefore, even SM's rappers could be main vocalists, and a lot of their vocalists are pretty good rappers.

I'm just gonna drop this here incase you don't know some of the info, there is also recommendations at the bottom :) NCT are a bigger group(23 members but don't get discouraged by it bc they are split into sub units so u can learn one unit at a time it makes it so easy that's how I did it). First I just want to give some background on them:) NCT stand for Neo-culture technology which basically means they as a group want to keep expanding their members and make more sub units as time goes on so they can have units that promote in different places of the world. This is a very unique and new concept that was never done successfully or in this way in the past. NCT is with SM entertainment which is one of the big three entertainment companies in South Korea(JYP, SM, YG). For some reason when it is mentioned they ae from the big three people think they succeeded automatically which is definitely not the case. Since NCT's concept was so different a lot of people hated on them and said they would be the failure of SM. They debuted in 2016 and didn't meet the mark for a big 3 company at all for(idk exactly) around 2.5 to 3 years. This year was the first year where they gained a huge fanbase and started to succeed more which they truly deserve bc they worked so hard for it if you want to understand more the video that I watched that informed me of all of this was "NCT: SM biggest failure? nah." by Taeyong scalp. As for music I recommend the following for each sub unit (nct u is where they mismatch members so whoever fits the concept the best is in the song so u will notice in nct u songs the members are different in each one, the other units though are permanent) NCT 127-Regular(English version), Highway to Heaven(English), Limitless music video(the one from 3 years ago not 4), Simon Says, Touch(softer song), Chain, Cherry Bomb, Superhuman, Punch. Kpop songs always have color coded lyric videos! It has the English translations as well as which member is singing (each member has a color and their picture on the video hence "color coded"). All you have to do is look up the name of the song + color coded lyrics. A lot of NCT and SM Entertainment's older MVs don't have English translations. I really like how you guys are interested in the lyrics and the meaning of the song! Kpop lyrics tend to be more inspirational rather than about money, drugs, and sex (except their English versions of their songs 😂). LOL we know them so well because they do a ton of IG lives, vlogs, reality type shows, game shows, etc. and the fandom is huge and smart and really one of the most courteous fandoms I've run across. There are so many fanmade videos of them that you get a sense of their personalities and interactions with each other (like Taeyong is very "maternal" or "paternal" and he takes care of his members very well, feeding them, cooking for them, encouraging them, etc.) The units let you into their dorms virtually so you see how they live and work together. There are dance practices and special videos (like Halloween and Christmas specials) they put on YT. There are videos about the "parent line" of NCT, the older ones who mother the babies (because some of them are babies, 18-20 year old little cuties) and just... the amount of information available to fans about NCT is huge. You could watch You Tube all day and still not watch them all.

You should also check out Ten's performances on Hit The Stage which is a dance show oh and you should check out Jisung's dance videos too he is the youngest member of NCT born in 2002 and he is one of the best dancers in NCT. The oldest member in NCT Taeil was born in 1994 I believe, the second eldest Johnny, Taeyong and Yuta were born in 1995, next Kun, Doyoung, and Ten were born in 1996, Jaehyun and Winwin were born in 1997, Jungwoo was born 1998, Lucas, Mark, Xiaojun and Hendery were all born in 1999, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Haechan, Yangyang and Shotaro were all born in 2000, Sungchan and Chenle were born in 2001 and last but not the least the youngest member Jisung was born in 2002.

as far as i remember, i have read an article regarding for the meaning of 7th sense. 7th sense is the awareness of yourself. The sense of knowing where you are and your consciousness and NCT's concept is dream so the meaning behind this song is feeling and understanding each other's dreams through music. There is one line from the lyrics which translated to english: "In the same dream I hear a familiar song that calls to me It connects us" Sorry if my english is not good 😅
