With all due respect, EXCHANGE RATE and CURRENCY STRENGTH are not related. A STRONG CURRENCY is a currency THAT GAINS against other currencies regardless of the exchange rate. It’s unfortunate, 99.999% of people don’t understand what currency strength is. The Japanese Yen is stronger than all currencies you listed there but we know you need more than 100 yen to buy one USD. The Japanese yen is also about as strong as the USD. The currencies have been exchanging places for a long time. If you want to know how strong a currency is, look at it’s INFLATION, not the exchange rate.

What matters is the currency GAINS IN VALUE against other currencies. 1USD is 140 Japanese yen today. This exchange rate of 1:140 doesn’t tell us which currency is stronger. If the Japanese yen gains against the USD such that after a year, the rate is now 1:70, then in that year, the Japanese yen was stronger. If you sold something for 140 yen, the price of that item will rise from 1USD at the beginning of the year, to 2 USD by the end of the year even if it has remained 140 yen. A strong YEN has made Japanese goods, prices in yen, to be more expensive.
