Highest Paying Jobs for MSN Nurses

You can expect to see a pretty significant increase in salary after earning your Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, especially if you go on to pass an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse certifying exam. The Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS) reports that MSN-prepared nurses make, on average, $42,000 more than RNs.

Nurse anesthesiologists is now a DNP

All of the programs going forward are, but those who have their masters degree and are already practicing CRNAs were grandfathered in, they keep their license.

Not all programs are requiring a Doctorate. CNPs in Ohio can still go for the MSN-NP or APRN for NP. Not sure about other states though.
