I remember when i first played a set out at a club (volks Brighton, 2007) I was 17 and not even that good especially when we played vinyl only. I was on first, had 8 people in the crowd but then out of nowhere Harry Shotta just jumped on the mic (he was headline mc with original sin not due on for 2 hours at this point) I was so gassed that my mixing suddenly got better and the last 15 minutes of my set was one of best moments of my life. Genuinely one of the down to earth guys and incredibly talented

@@HarryShotShot Aw mate nice one. I got into Hip Hop through breaking, hard to describe but when I found out about the dance and started doing it, it was like I didn't have a choice. I had to do it ha. When you talk about hip hop filling you with bravery in the track I felt that. Growing up I was very timid and shy, but with breaking it forced me to challenge myself, putting myself in battles, on stages, in front of crowds, in a position of vulnerability because if you fuck up everyone can see! But again it was like I didn't care, or cared less about all that, because I just had to dance. Wanted to dance. Putting yourself in situations you'd otherwise shrink away from makes you do a lot of introspection. I'm sure you can relate in terms of getting up on stage and baring your soul with your music.
