Your music is a language that transcends words. As you play, I am reminded of Jesus' words in John 16:33. "These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." As you have been, may you always remain a faithful steward of the unique gift that God has entrusted to you. Praying for you and your precious family, "Sis" Maria in NC, USA.

This pice of music was commissioned for the UK handing back Hong Kong to China. It was played at that ceremony by the pipes and drums of the British Army. Gert, you have managed to play a very "reedy" sound on the organ which echoes the original performance. So clever. Thank you.

Gosh maybe I shouldn’t say this but in about 70 years when it is time for you (like it always will be for everyone) to enter in God’s holy kingdom, you and other great organists who play like you, would have the « job » playing such lovely music for us all. Organ music like yours sounds so very heavenly Gert. I love looking at you playing on KZbin as well as listening to the Digital CDs I bought on your site. You have a wonderful gift.

There is almost a symbiotic relationship between Gert and the organ. The organ is responding with its soul which Gert is evoking from it with a gentle but total command: a man I think who has truly found his vocation, and with it insight into, and capacity to reveal through his playing a beauty far beyond the terrestrial. To hear this is to know that God exists.
