I liked this one enough to grab a second bottle. I do agree with you in that I'd consider the Valknut to be the high point of the series, but I liked the Valfather because it stepped a bit out of Highland Park's usual comfort zone. The peat had a bit of a dirty smoke quality (I say that lovingly) that I'd expect from some Islay whiskies.

Had a sample from the Whisky Exchange...pleasantly surprised. Love the extra dollop of peat. Haven’t found it in the States yet, but would definitely pick up a bottle.

Hi Rob, just had a sip of this one once & wasn't excited at all, besides I must be one of the rare who prefers the Valkyrie to the 2 others....I have to open my Full Volume bottle at some point, sounds like a good day tonight...to be continued ! About Italian wine, my favorite of those I know (sorry still haven't tried any Barolo yet...even if I have a Springbank 9 yo Gaja Barolo...), are the Primitivo & the Nero d'Avola...yummy !

Basically, if I don't work I have no income... I go back to work driving cab on Sunday night, and business has been down considerably for the last two weeks... A reduced income is better than none at all, so I'm going back to work. I'm drinking Craigellachie 13 while watching...

you tried the 16 yr wings of the eagle. got it from whiskysite.nl pretty tasty. a little spicy but nice sherry notes.
