I've been hunting around trying to find the short tulip snifting glasses you use with your tastings but without success. Any chance you might let us know where we can find them to purchase?

I have Valkyrie and Valknut and I'm waiting to receive my Valfather. I will hold a tasting of all three once it arrives.

I've only tried Valkyrie and it was quite a dissappointed to me. I much prefer the standard HP 12. How do the other two compare?
@TheRealCoyote4 жыл бұрын
@@Sharnoy1 I actually rank all 3 above the current 12 year old. But since you didn't like Valkyrie I doubt you will be impressed with the other 2. To me they are extremely similar. Or maybe give them a chance, at least I have "off days" where some whisky which is normally good tastes bad/weird.

@@TheRealCoyote Thank you for sharing your opinion! I might even give them a second chance now that it's been a year since I had the Valkyrie.

Достойный вискарь по адекватной цене. Интереснее многих вариантов с Айлы, особенно в свете дикой наценки за них сейчас. Нос слегка слабоват, но это общая тема для ХП. Мне все понравилось

FYI..."Vinland" is actually in Newfoundland Canada and rediscovered by John Cabot. There is also evidence that the Vikings made it as far as Miramichi, New Brunswick!

Fancy bottles and fancy boxes along with stories about Viking legends are a strong indication to me that Highland Park is heading in the wrong direction. It’s marketing over quality. We have plenty of better choices.
@atb86605 жыл бұрын
I like HP, I have the 12 and the valkaries bottle and both are fantastic. You are just as influenced by marketing as anyone else. You just want them to tell the same boring story as 99 percent of all other distillers tell (old fashioned fonts, Gallic names), it doesn’t change the contents of the bottle, open your mind
@spitti35 жыл бұрын
Their whiskey is good IMO, at least the ones I've tried. The bottles are very pretty, and the viking stories and theme is a breath of fresh air and at least stand out. I don't get why people in "whiskey circles" hate on them so much nowadays. I'm glad not everyone tries to be so fucking traditional and boring.
@choppersplace5 жыл бұрын
@@spitti3 exactly i love their new bottle/packaging designs...the older ones now look so boring/ mehish. and if they reside in a viking heritage rich area, then why not use it, explore it further....good on them.

Highland park should drastically reduce the so called collector's series. It would be much better if they announce maximum 5 or 6 whiskies dedicated to different countries yearly. Otherwise it is a total mess.
