Yup much agreed, gotta ride it stock and get it as close to what you want before spending a ton on suspension. I rode my yz250 for 50hrs before getting it valved and adding a heavier shock spring . Have to admit it was a game changer getting it setup for me

You don't "need" any of those parts to go racing. While the parts might help you finish a race you don't need them to go race. Oops, spark arrestor is required, so....I was wrong. You can take any modern dirt bike from show room to track, not that there isn't room to make improvements on every bike but you don't "need" that other stuff.

if i remember correct "Ready to Race" was the HUSABERG Slogan years ago ... KTM was doing ads with bikes with kickstart only- mans bikes etc. nowadays KTM stands for Keine Teile Mehr (No Spares Available) . we all have to thank ktm for trying to push the development further, even if their marketing is far above their bikes quality.

I would say the shock spring is #1 for safety and performance, IF your weight isn't in range of the .42. My #2 would be those sad little tubes. It's a pathetic attempt to shave weight on the spec. sheet. Huge departure from "Race Ready". But tubes and a spring and it's technically ready to race. ... If you're racing on a closed course not requiring a spark arrester. Of course, we all want the protection items.

Hi I have a question: I have a 23 300XCw I know they’re different but after watching that video where you took the clutch apart on your XC I noticed they are similar . I’m installing a Rekluse clutch on mine now and my bike also has the 2 serrated washers behind the 27mm nut. Now the Rekluse kit calls for that tab washer and doesn’t account for the serrated ones. Should I leave the tab washer out and assemble it with serrated washers torqued at 100Nm like the bike manual calls for? What do you think? I’m asking because I cannot find anything about this anywhere.. And I’ve installed Rekluse clutches before and haven’t seen this. Thank you for listening

Even if that KTM motor is amazing, didnt overheat, and they took all the electronics off it and put a PWK on. That linkage is the most idiotic design ever. Spark arrestors need to be cleaned every 20hr... take a spark arrestor off and if they question you just ask them to put their hand on the headerpipe of a 4stroke to see if spark arrestors work....

Hey Morgan my 2022 ktm 350 xcf won't return to idle for 3-5 seconds after revving it any answers would be greatly appreciated?? Even in gear when I pull in the clutch it stays at the higher idle for 3-8 seconds before going down what do you think could be the problem?? Plenty of free play in throttle and it only has 14 hrs on bike?
