I’ve had many of X-wing squads that had only one of each ship. It can make for a more versatile team.

Great video. Something a little different. I’ve been taking this approach in my first playthrough of ISS Vanguard. There are a few notable exceptions where a card is too good to pass up, but otherwise having that versatility in your hand is amazing.

for a long time that is how i had to play my imperials and rebels excluding core troops as I had limited options as i was on a budget

As an additive to the Variety pro, I'd say the format lets me "play with more of my toys". Sometimes when making lists it's more about wanting to play with everything and then narrowing it done. Eliminating duplicates means more things I want to play get played.

Definitely some positives for one of everything lists, another con might be that order control is a bit rough. Love the idea for casual play

I think this is an interesting methodology, but generally more for fun than competitive builds. I think it really depends on the game as to how impactful it is from a look, feel, and enjoyment standpoint
