I love your video's Gary. I just started my Highlander this week. Question: What size are your Rivet nuts? I was going to do 6-32 but am concerned about the 17/64 hole on those little tabs.

Jeff thank you very much, you’ll see that those metal tabs are very difficult to drill through, and they are very stiff I don’t think you’re gonna have any problem, they’re very sound

@@ashsmitty2244 ash, I waited 4 months to get my kit! I’m able to work on it every day, I have a home office so it makes it easy to sneak out to my shop and spend a few hours a day!

What's your useful load gonna be when you're finished?? And what's the fuel burn for the apex??

Greg, I'm not sure just yet, I know when the engine arrives and is installed, I'm hoping to be sub 800 lbs on my gross weight of the plane, and the apex should have a cruise burn of 6 to 8 gph, and that's based on what others are currently seeing.

Hey mate, quick question. Why the highlander over the super STOL?

Mostly because of the edge performance Yamaha, it also fly’s a bit faster than the SS!

@@HookedOnUtah I’m in two minds, similar setup as yours or the STOL XL with the Titan 160-180hp. In the experimental category it can carry an extra 200 lbs. It’s a tough call. I’m in Australia. (Not doing to well down here)

Hi, my kit is supposed to arrive this fall...what lengthxwidth is your shop ? i am going to put a temp one in my backyard

My shop is 15 wide by 30ft long. The only challenge has been fitting the wings, I pull it out, put them on, do the necessary work, then pull them off and put it back in my shop. I'm getting really close, as soon as my engine arrives from Edge I'll take it to the airport. Ping me anytime if you have questions.
