Thank you! 😃 Yes business English is full of phrasal verbs. US and UK workers tend to try and soften everything to make things seem less 'transactional' and more personal, and phrasal verbs help us do that!

You are correct 👍 "sync up" comes from "synchronise". To sync up means to meet up and all be together at the same time.

Do you know why English is the most popular language in the world? I think it's because of the passion that native English speakers have for their language. Just listen to their pronunciation each letter is full of energy. And beyond that, the meanings themselves are rich with feelings and thoughts.

Hi,dear Kat & Mark ❣️ I'm Masoud from Iran,I follow your channel,I'm studying English beside my work,I want to know watching your program with English subtitles is good or not?In other word watching movie or listening podcast with subtitles for learning second language is good or not? Thank you and best wishes for both of you,have a good time❤
@highlevellisteningАй бұрын
It's great to hear you're studying English! It's definitely a good idea to watch with subtitles because it can help you connect sounds and words together. If you feel like it's too easy with the subtitles, then you can also just listen to the podcast with your phone in your pocket or by switching away from the tab so you can't read them. Hope that advice makes sense!
