We caught up with the Polaris crew at the Highlifter proving grounds in Louisiana. They had their fleet of Highlifter machines for everyone to test out and learn about. In this video Evan goes over the Highlifter RZR 1000 and what makes it unique. Evan makes some really good points on why the Highlifter machines perform so well.

As someone interested in either a Highlifter or an XMR, I like the XMR snorkle location a lot better (behind the seats). These are in the way of adding a rear view mirror. I know, getting nit picky, but seems like a no brainer that they could change.

So its not a turbo trans and still has a reverse chain in the the 2019 model? But yet the ranger has a geared reverse with the turbo clutches and belt??

So with the mud-specific changes (lower gearing, bigger/meatier tires, etc) how is the performance on the trail? Does it still handle fairly good ripping through wooded trails?
