Very helpful. For those that are only getting the chat window to pop up in obs and not the individual comments, go the the extension options in Chrome and make sure the stream link is not filled in. This allowed me get the comment pop-ups to work and gave me the correct link from the chat pop out.

@@mrgaucho it should automatically ask you permission to access your KZbin channel once you've installed it. Have you tried uninstalling and then re-installing it?

You can also click on the Chrome extension button top right of your browser, select Manage Extensions" and then in the "Details" of the LIVE CHAT Overlay see if permission has been granted to youtube/KZbin studio

You can change settings in the Chrome app etc. or just resize the frame size in OBS to be smaller

I've tried. But I think problem with that is that it's a chrome app, so you need to be in Chrome when you click on the chat and the OBS dock doesn't use Chrome.

You need to copy the URL from the pop-out chat, every time, as a new URL is created each time.

Good question. I haven't tried it. It all depends on whether the URL you take from the chat pop-out can be shared remotely. The moderator will have to have the Chrome app installed. Try it and let me know.

So in SLOBS, this chat in YT studio doesnt work. It shows no comments and when i type in there nobody sees me talking either. thi sis grat, do you have contact with the developer. could the developer make options to display chat , so we dont need click the chat we want to highlight. so it displays chat as they are chatted, if that makes sense. a way ti display what your chat says

If you just want the chat to appear on your screen you could use something like Streamlabs (it's free to use). You just connect your YT account, set it up and get a URL (you can use in OBS and other similar programmes)

The new updated version should "auto fit" the comments. Set the OBS scene/browser sourse for chat highlight to 1920x 1080 - and then adjust on your scene from there,,,
