ed and his timelost proto drake that took him years to get... lol i made a character on a new brazil server years ago and got it in like a week. the mount of sha of anger, and the love rocket however..... those took like 8+ years to get in the end farming it on 40+ characters every available week/day then they hot fixed the drop change with dragon flight. i got them during a trial and i had told myself those 2 mounts were my end goal. never bought dragon flight. havent really played much since. i might hop on during a holiday when they add some new stuff and farm them on a lvl 20 alt so i dont have to pay a sub fee.

This is Ed, I always loved the mount since way back in the day. I camped the spot for long hours on and off for years. (low dedication, or else I would've gotten it way sooner) Finally decided to just camp my character there on my 2nd monitor while I edited. After a few days, it spawns on me, I kill it, and the body falls down the side of the cliff, and gets stuck in a spot I can't loot. I can't fall while looting, can't loot while mounted, I even flew to Dalaran to learn engineering for like a loot grabber item or something. Eventually the body disappeared with the loot. Luckily I recorded it and sent in a ticket and I woke up to the mount in my inventory from a GM. It was the happiest day of my life lol.

Best thing about this is whenever anyone mentions gear he has none because most of the things he's doing are side quests that don't give much gear. If he was doing a main storyline he would never experience the struggle due to being pelted with a piece of gear every 2nd quest. Can say after watching him finish the 6 mob pull that he definitely got more confident and eventually realized that ice lance is just better right now (not having glacial spike yet). Super weird that they intro icicles and just don't do much with them till the lower half of the class tree.
