The Petro is a pretty good ship, if you play it right. In fact it's one of my favorite cruisers. Not every cruiser in the game has to be an island humper, a sniper, or HE spammer. The Petro is one of the few cruisers you can actually push a flank, and even brawl with, as it has some of the best bow armor, awesome AP that hits like a truck at close range, and is almost as tanky as a Kremlin. I love getting into close range battles with it, which is where this ship shines, and is a total beast.

The only slightly overpowered thing about Petro is that it sits too low in the water. Other than that its armor scheme is the same as Stalingrad and Moskva. The guns are fine because, yes, it does have comparitively poor HE shells and god awful accuracy until you're at a range where you're putting yourself in great danger. And while the AP has good penetration, it takes an idiot to give you broadside to get citadels. The ship isn't overpowereed.

@@ohayou828 In the early game you can see there are 4 friendly ships on the 8-10 lines, so Flolo (and the Marco Polo) positioned themselves on the 6-7 lines to crossfire the enemies angling against 9 line. That Edinburgh was angled against the 4 friendlies on 8-10 lines so Flolo got free shots on its broadside.

Dunno, never felt afraid of Petro. Neither in randoms nor in clan battles. It's an ok ship at holding a flank and it punishes you hard if you make mistakes (assuming it's shell grouping doesn't shit itself). Don't really get the Russian ship hate, outside of old Smolensk and pre-nerf Kremlin.
