Highlighter Declutter | 2016

Today I will be sharing my highlighter declutter as part of my makeup declutter series. I decided to go through all of my highlighters and did a purge. I did not declutter as many products in this category but I still feel good about my progress. If you want to"fix" the middle shade in the Tarte Skin Twinkle palette just keep rubbing away at the top layer, until it feel really buttery and creamy and shows up pigmented on your finger. I did that and its been a staple in my everyday routine to set under my eyes, I'm hitting major pan on it now and there's barely any product left in it. I tbh would buy the palette again just for the middle shade it's so beautiful under the eyes. Also the lighting is so much better in this video :) last one was really washed out

On Sephora's website blushed copper is listed with the shimmering skin perfector blushes, not the highlights so technically I guess it is a blush. I got it in the jaclyn hill champagne glow set last holiday season and I thought it was dark for a highlight (unless you have deep skin) but then I looked it up and it's gorgeous as a blush.

melbell713 yes you are correct becca has a blush named blushed cooper. The one I own was a limited edition shimmering skin perfector pressed so it's larger I'm not sure if they apply the same or not. It really does work nicely as a blush though!

How do you use cream highlight? Over or under powder? Under a powder highlight? I'm not sure what to do with mine?

snowbird I usually will apply them under my foundation. Depending on the product and the texture but under usually works best. 😀

Most of the stuff you got rid of are drug store. Not hating or anything, I find it really hard to get rid of stuff that cost me more in the first place as well.

Allie Fu I tend to be more adventurous when it comes to drugstore products. Almost all of my palettes are neutrals with a couple of pop of color shades. I recently bought a wet n wild palette that is made up of colors so I can experiment with them and if I don't like them then no biggie😊
