Highlights from the quarterfinals of the 2019 U.S. Amateur Championship, at Pinehurst (N.C.) Resort & Country Club. See who weathered the rain, the heat and the humidity and stamped their ticket to the semifinals.
The U.S. Amateur, the ultimate test in amateur golf, is contested over seven days, with two days of stroke play on Pinehurst No. 2 and Pinehurst No. 4, followed by five rounds of match play exclusively on No. 2. The 36-hole championship match is contested on both Nos. 4 and 2.
Television coverage is available through the championship's conclusion on Sunday, Aug. 18, on FS1 and Fox. Live streaming will also be available on Thursday, Aug. 15 and Sunday, Aug. 18, on usamateur.com, as well as the free USGA streaming app on Apple TV and Roku.

Even after so many rounds it's just unbelievable how the young players don't have a game plan and sticking to it when they absolutely know that position is everything on Nr. 2! Like taking a driver and just blasting it out in the trees when a hybrid and spoon would put you in perfect position!...and position is doubly important in match play... they might think they're ready for the big show and the commentators have spoken about that but with piss poor course management like that they won't even make it on the web tour...

Bogy Time unfortunately good contact is the easiest part for these guys. At this level the best players are the ones which are able to square up the club face the most often without making a big mistake.
