This season will do wonders for the All Blacks heading into the next world cup. They have for different circumstances been forced to play without key experienced players and on field leaders like Dagg, B Smith, Franks, Rettalick and Coles. The All Blacks will now have confidence in starting any of 5 props with the return of Moody and Franks. The locking department behind Rettalick and Whitelock is still up for grabs with Barrett seemingly failing to lock the door on Romano and Tuipolotu, however the competition for that third position is a good problem to have. Sam Cane has just well and truly put to bed any further question marks around who our number one 7 is. There is no question and Sam Cane is fast becoming the rock of that All Black pack alongside Rettalick, Read and Whitelock. Squire will be hitting his straps heading into Japan and Vaea Fifita and Ardie Savea will provide real impact from the bench. A Smith has put his troubles behind him in terms of his on field performances however TJ Perenara has just dropped off the ball a little bit leaving a real question mark in our stocks at 9. This is even further compounded by the lack of genuine gametime given to our backup 10. B Barrett has been off the boil since the Lions tour, his running game has taken a vacation only to replaced by forced passes, flat at best and a whole lot of aimless kicking. Lima Sopoaga hasn't gone on to prove he has what it takes mostly through lack of opportunities and should Barrett fall over we will be in real trouble. Alot of this issue rides on how well Damien Mackenzie slots into 10 for the Chiefs. Richie Mounga has the skills but will struggle to find enough All Blacks exp to be a real contender for the WC in Japan. The Midfield is solid without being spectacular at this stage, however there is some good young players coming through with Laumape, Goodhew and even J Barrett. The outside backs will take care of themselves, if everyone is fit come Japan it will be more about who deoesn't get picked then who does. Ioane has cemented himself at 11. Naholo is quickly making his case for the same at 14, however the creativity and exp of Dagg will make that an interesting battle next year. Ben Smith, J Barrett, D mac and Havili have the 15 jersey covered and Nehe Milner Skudder if fit will just give Hansen a welcome headache. The biggest issues for the All Blacks going forward are 1. Discipline. 2. The struggle they have been having against rushing defence. 3. The lack of skill set that has crept into their performances since the departure of Mick Byrne. 4. How long they can continue to play with so little ball and get away with it. The All Blacks want to play tempo and chance their arm, sometimes they just need to play clever basic rugby to get themselves in the right area of the park and build pressure.

A good test match this as we all know. Even though NZ are building a new squad, next year I think we will see just how good this NZ side is going to be for 2019 and this tight Autumn Series will be put completely to rest next year, comprehensively I feel for NZ. This year, a bit hit and miss in my eyes for the All-Blacks. The Lions Tour as far as I am concerned NZ should have won, so I was disappointed with NZ for not actually dispatching The Lions, regardless of what people think in the UK, NZ should have won the entire series, period. But the way they played as well was slightly less intensive than usual. I feel The Lions got away, Lions fans of course would not think that, but then again most of them are Pompous English who think that. Scotland's game last week which I missed as I was in Brazil getting hammered and being with my friends enjoying life, sounded like a brilliant game and although the Scottish will think they should have won, like all these Northern Hemisphere sides think when it is a tight match with NZ, well some news for you. NZ are capable of shutting a tight game out now without panic and as close as Scotland were, ultimately, had this been the All-Blacks side you will see next year, more in tone with the side, then Scotland would not have come close. Also Scotland will peak next year and will not be in contention for the next World Cup, period. They just do not have the quality coming through. We see this every 5 years or so, Scotland or Ireland, etc, etc will have a good side that may be capable of beating NZ and in Irelands case they have beaten us, but it lasts for a few years then they are back to square one being stomped by NZ. England is different, more consistent and genuine contenders to take that rank 1 spot in the future. NZ have a very, very special side developing that is ahead of the rest of the World and this was the year to beat us Scotland, Wales, etc, etc, because next year and into 2019 you will not be as close as you think. England deserve that 2nd spot, so the gap between rank 1 and 2 in comparison to the rest of the rugby World is probably to far for the rest to bridge before the next World Cup. England just have a side full of Pacific players of course, so they are not really England at all, but even so, they will be a massive threat to NZ superiority in the coming years, very much so I feel. Long hard year for NZ, enjoy your break, you are my heroes. Enjoy your summer back home in NZ, and see you in 2018.

I remember Reiko's official All blacks debut, full of nerves - didn't really get involved or own his position, unsure and poor feild awareness and light on defense. So naturally I was skeptical adding to the fact that Julian Savea was outpicked from Reiko. But Steve Hansen said from the start this kid has potential and needs some time in the boots at this world class to grow. Now he is an absolute superstar and critical asset to the ABs. Look how his speed is almost unmatched on his marked defenders. Adding to his recent show of breaking tackles and strongarm defense. He needs just the slightest room and can make something beautifull from his insane speed. Must be so hard to mark him on defense.

Also, Gatland and the majority of his coaching staff should be sacked now, They consistently pick players on Reputation instead of quality. Great match. Wayne actually had a good game, thank goodness, I thought his management of the scrums in particular was really good, but the chumminess with the players, the little touches, the calling by first name, it’s unnecessary and frankly nauseating. All Blacks can finish and that’s the gaping difference. Peace Love you are a blatant hater.

I’m ready to get rid of Wyatt Crocket. Close to leading the penalty count for the year despite being a sub, and put the ref in a yellow card frame of mind, which ended up coming out of the pocket for something that didn’t even warrant a penalty. He’s fortunate Moody is injured and there are few others that are deemed ready for international rugby, I expect

As a welshman (living in NZ) i had great hopes for this game, mainly because the all blacks were playing shockingly bad for the first half. But as always everybody forgets why the All blacks are the best in the world. Its not because they have the best kickers, Runners or scrummers in the business (though some are clearly fantastic) but because they can just keep going and going and going while everyone else gets sloppy. This performance felt the Ali rope-a-dope, When the all blacks suddenly unleashed a massive counter attack second half.

I'm Welsh but even if realise Wales are total garbage and we will be lucky in beating Italy in the six nations next year. The coaching staff have to go,yesterday's game showed were Wales need to go to improve but we'll never do so while we continue to pick cuthbert, priestland, halfpenny, roberts and Amos instead of players like giles and hewitt..mark my words once we start actually playing players who are attacking and can finish of moves with trys and make things out of nothing we will continue with the same old thing the coaching staff say which is basically we need to learn how to finish of a move when we have a chance. We hear it all the time when we play Australia or new Zealand beginning to depress me now.. need a certain coach from the scarlets who knows how to play rugby

If I remember right, Hansen had him pegged as a 1st five, and after a particularly good performance at the back, made some comment about having to rethink DMac’s best position. Taking what was once B Barrett’s position (bench utility and late game pocket rocket) would be an interesting symmetry

Some individual brilliance from certain kiwis but wakes were by far the better team. Probably the first time iv said this and probably ever will but new Zealand were lucky against wales today. We lost the game, all blacks didn't win it
