@@nicholaswhite3811 what an amazing win for England but saying wales aren't ready is a little short minded considering they beat england the weekend before this
@nicholaswhite38115 жыл бұрын
Christopher Bevan not short minded at all, based on the evidence of last three weeks. In both matches Wales played a full strength XV ( injuries permitting) , England fielded a below full strength side with several,players out of normal position. Wales did very little to show they were ready. The margin of victory by England in the first game was convincing, and resounding. The margin of victory by Wales in the second match was about as narrow as it gets in such a low scoring game. I don’t take anything away from the Welsh players in scoring the North Try. They took advantage of the situation they were presented with and scored. But it was lucky in that it should not have happened. The referee was reprimanded for allowing play to continue during a HIA replacement. World Rugby has issued a formal reminder to all referees that when a player leaves the field for HIA play does not continue until his replacement is on the pitch ready to play. If we consider this as relevant the margin of victory was very slim and not consistent with a team that is ready for RWC. Next week may see a different performance and we could then safely say Wales are ready but not until they provide the evidence.

Another great performance by England. I don’t want to gloat too much as I think we had an advantage over Ireland with the two Welsh slogs under our belt. Plus Ireland looked rustier than the titanic. But a lesser English side could have come off the gas, and produced a much more flattering result for Ireland. As it is; we definitely took full advantage of the situation. I think Italy next week will be a nice chance to try a few new combos, and then shit gets serious. But so far so bloody good!

@nicholaswhite38115 жыл бұрын
Guillaume Genet you are correct a forward pass is defined as when the passer’s arms move towards the opponents dead ball line. But the guys here mentioning the grass lines caused by the mower are citing the evidence that the arms did go towards the dead ball line causing the ball to travel forward. You cat pass backwards as per Law and cause the ball to travel forward. I suspect I’m going to get all the physics stuff about momentum. To save you the bother, I teach physics and fully understand the laws of momentum and Newton’s laws of motion etc etc. Make your arms go back the ball goes back, make your arms go forward the ball goes forward. If you make your arms go side ways and you are running really fast the ball will drift forward but it will be so imperceptible that even with slow motion it will be difficult to see. It is this latter case the Law is designed to cover. If the ball travels forward a perceptible distance it was thrown forward as defined in Law 12 preamble.

Kearney lucky not to be cited for his blatant head shot on Curry after he passed out wide for Daly to score England’s 2nd try at 2.12 mins on video. Disgraceful.

Ireland beat the all black twice in two years. When did England or Wales achieve that????
Ireland were so poor that i think England shouldn't read too much in this win other than systems that are working. Ireland's line out was an utter mess
@Rogue666695 жыл бұрын
Said before these warm up games that Ireland will be the shock of the tournament and not get out the group
@Rogue666695 жыл бұрын
@@LeMerch yes really !! Anything is possible and Ireland aren't the All Blacks you know, Japan are in some fine form at the moment and have home advantage no one had them beating South Africa in 2015 but they pulled it off and Scotland v Ireland have been close games so why not ?
@Rogue666695 жыл бұрын
@@LeMerch bet a lot of people thought the same about England not getting out the group last time and Japan shocking South Africa but that’s the glory of knock out rugby. Only need to be good for 80mins to beat someone.

@connoroneill32635 жыл бұрын
@Scott James Johnson you just contradicted yourself there mate. Saying ireland have no chance because they took a thumping but then saying england only had a bad game against Wales and still have a chance? Ireland clearly had an off day here and I'm not taking no glory away from england as I thought they played fantastic however you can never rule out any side in the world cup. One thing I do hate is cocky fans and I hope karma comes back around. Remember what happened in the last world cup buddy 👍🏻

@maelwydd15 жыл бұрын
The first try by Ireland was clearly a forward pass. The pass was released behind the line and caught after the line. I am English with Irish parents btw to stop any comments about bias.

Top three teams with both player depth and coaching nuance to win this: NZ, SA, ENG Next layer of chances (lack of depth and/or coaching nuance/preparations/injuries:) AUS, IRE, WAL No particular order .... but those are the top tier and secondary tier in terms of WC Shock winners and shake ups maybe to Scotland and as always France... maybe. Scotland might even be a shock defeat to Japan and not even make quarters. Argentina threw all their weight behind Super Rugby ... unfortunately. Forgot that they were only playing portions of international teams when playing franchises, and not combined ones. They dealt their hand too soon at franchise level
@mj007nz5 жыл бұрын
you might be right about Argentina... they looked tired to me. Straight from a super rugby final to play the ABs and further games in the rugby championship. But they are proven world cup performers, if history is anything to go by. Hopefully the break does them some good. Their current world rugby ranking doesnt mean anything...
