That's so cool, we did a lot of that when I was in the Boy Scouts a long, long time ago. Taught it when I was a Scout Master. The boys really liked building Gin poles to move heavy loads. Once you learn it, you don't forget it. You may get rusty from lack of using the skills but with trial and error it comes back. Excellent!

Great video and a good demonstration of assembly and rigging techniques out in the bush.

With a few more people you guys could build a Pathfinder Pyramid out there with all the rigging know how, nice work.

Well, you blew my mind! I haven't seen anyone doing these things since 1998. My late husband could move a house with pipes or logs and ropes. It is a valuable talent! Bravo!

Make sure you’re inspecting your gear. My friend is an instructor for a ropes course and he ended up falling and his gear failed. Been in the icu for 2 weeks and almost died.

Looking good with the technique. There are many ways to move large loads. Outstanding job with capture progress. Educational question: with the pole winch: is there a reason why the capture prusik is removed from the lines instead of sliding them?

I was supposed to be there this weekend, but wasn't feeling well. Here's to hoping they offer it again this year. I'll have my eye out, for sure.

Impressive! Rigging confuses the heck out of me. I could probably take your class 10 times and still not get it.
