This is my 12th time going to the Open and i have to say this was truly unbelievable the course the atmosphere at Royal Portrush was something i've never witnessed before even as an American this was something special, Well done Shane Lowry on your first major even tho we were rooting for Brookes to win, We leave Northern Ireland today with the best people & memories ever but we will definitely be coming back to this beautiful part of the world. it's a must visit folks. 10/10

Spoiler? Are you serious? This is not the plot of a TV series - this is yesterdays news - literally.
@cscoetzee5 жыл бұрын
Well that's just plain ridiculous, not to say massively arrogant, isn't it, to expect news of a major sporting event not to be all over the place when you look on KZbin the day afterwards. As I said, this is news, not the outcome of a murder mystery on TV or in a book. If you want to see it yourself, you should have stayed up later or made a recording, then lock yourself away from the world the next day to watch it. Or do you seriously expect all the reporting about this event to say: "Watch this to see who won the Open! (spoilers)." And many people actually don't want to sit through the entire video to find out who won - thought about that? Did I mention, this is news being reported...?
@cscoetzee5 жыл бұрын
@aboutthetruthmedia organization Sigh... some people just don't get it. It looks like no matter how you try to explain, it just doesn't go through. What would you EXPECT to see on The Open channel the day after The Open? The damn result, of course! FFS. It's NEWS about The Open!! Why bother uploading a 10 mins video?? To show us the highlights, of course! Why so many views? Because people want to see these highlights - of course! Sheesh.

I watched the highlights on bbc .. they were 2 hours in length. for me it was the most boring golf tournament I've ever seen on tv. basically it was like watching a pitch and putt competition. hardly any drives off the tee and those that we did see often ended up in the forest that they called 'rough'. it wasn't helped by a course that looked the same no matter what hole they were playing. that's why the open is my least favourite ( IN FACT I DISLIKE IT ) major. every open golf course looks like a stretch of scrubland that has been bombed by the Luftwaffe. give me Augusta or Wentworth any day.

i have to admit i am in the minority here. Portrush should never hold The Open again! It was boring. I am a traditionalist and believe the "new rules" have killed the game. I cannot stand the putting with the flagstick in the pro game. They have caddies who attend the stick. It is ok in the amateur game when they have to bow down to the 16 handicap blazers, who drink their G & T and complain about scratch golfers and slow play and when they are only playing for pride. However this Open was tedious, unexciting and horrible to watch. I can't say exactly why, but it was. Maybe it was Shane's gurning face at the sight of every shot he hit, which I hated. Dunno, just did not enjoy this championship?
