Shane Lowry won his first major championship at The 148th Open Championship in 2019.
The Irishman played wonderfully at Royal Portrush, shooting 67 in the first and second rounds before shooting an impressive 63 in the third. He went into the final round with a four stroke lead ahead of England’s Tommy Fleetwood.
Lowry battled through difficult conditions to win by 6 strokes and claim the Claret Jug, his maiden major championship victory.
