The problem with Kier is that he does not listen to the question in full before answering. Despite ReformUK PLC’s derisory vote, it was noticeable the ReformUK candidate Simon Danczuk wasn’t even present at the Rochdale declaration. That’s not very sporting is it in view of the fact Hedgefunded ReformUK attract so much national media attention compared to other smaller parties particularly the winners, The Workers Party? This by-election may well have been focussed on a single foreign policy issue like Gaza but in reality all issues blend into each other whether foreign or domestic economic. Many voters may regard Tory and Labours stance on Israel and Gaza as indicative of what both are like on all key issues. Yes it took the focus off the boring bipartisan political relationship between Tories and Labour but that will be temporary. It will always be at General Election’s etc a contest between Tory and Labour.
