Im Canadian/English and couldn't be more happier that the MLS is growing. Watching this game felt like watching any Premier League or La Liga match. This is why Messi signed for Miami to play in the MLS. This league has potential and respect to players like Messi, Busquets, Cheilieni and Alba for coming here rather than Saudi Arabia and the money.

It is true and shows that NOT everybody is out there going to China or Saudi Arabia for the money, because in MLS they do get paid handsomely BUT it is nowhere near to the deals and money that many players are making in leagues like in China, Saudi Arabia, Spain or England. MLS is growing and before Messi arrives, Shaqiri was the highest paid player at $8.5 million but for me while it may be decent, it is still nowhere to what Messi will make in Miami around $40-50 million. Now that is a lot of money! Go Canada! Hope the girls there are beautiful as I imagined to be and the wildlife being beautiful!

@@716_ハディくん Maldini is a club legend and the firing wasn’t great optically, but the man had a terrible transfer window and actually got a little too much credit sometimes. He was great at closing deals, but he was not really the one doing all the scouting and homework. Moncada did not get enough credit. Cardinale gave Maldini the chance to earn his trust starting from last year’s contract extension and unfortunately Maldini failed. Maldini also wanted Pioli out which several people at the club did not agree with. Love him, but not flawless.

15 to 20 years ago, an attendance like this in a football matches in the US is only possible when a European side visits for an MLS All-Star game. Everyone looked forward to seeing their favorite European clubs visits the US. That was the best way to attract people in the US to watch football. Nowadays, look at the attendances for football in the US. The Rose Bowl is one of the most iconic and largest stadium in all North America. This El Traffico Derby, with 80,000+ supporters from both sides, is by far one of the best derby I've seen in MLS to date. As far as the MLS All-Star games go, it's not as taken serious as it once was in the past. Because defeating a European side in the MLS All-Star games was an achievement. Not so much these days. More for entertainment and a break from the regular MLS season and preseason warm up for the visiting club from Europe. Fun to watch though due to the festivities and mini games the MLS All-Star weekend put together, like the skills challenge. GREAT JOB MLS... Wait till Messi arrive though.

Atlanta in their first match at Mercedes-Benz stadium against Orlando drew a crowd, than Atlanta draws a bigger one in their first playoff match, than a year later they break the league record that was in place since the first game not once but twice (the latter one being. The MLS cup finals), Seattle drawing a crowd when they won the CCL (I included it cause even though a Liga MX team was in it was still a pro Sounders crowd), and Charlotte last year in their first home match (Galaxy were in that one), and now this

And later that year Atlanta United win the MLS Cup. Why is that relevant? Cause the Capitals won the media said it was the first championship in Washington, D.C. since the now Washington formerly Redskins Super Bowl XXVI whereas Atlanta it was their first since the Atlanta Braves win the 1995 World Series. They recognized MLS when Atlanta won but with Washington they didn’t realize that it wasn’t the first for them since the ‘Skins. Nope. It was the first since DC United won the MLS Cup in 2004 (I think I got the year right). Like they ignored MLS when Capitals won but didn’t when ATL United won it all
