@@Charly.reviewsThe infected blood scandal was that in the 80s we imported transfusion products from the US that turned out to have come from US prisons and were infected with HIV and Hepatitis, this was then used on those with hemophilia and other issues, infecting them. This wasn't unique to the UK, but in many countries investigations and prosecutions happened in the 90s, whereas in the UK it was basically covered up until an inquiry was finally set in in I think 2017?

Don’t hold your breath it won’t last long,neither of them give a toss about ordinary people their too busy lining their own pockets,let’s have a peep into their bank accounts first and see if their as honest as they make out to be,let’s look into Rayners account first seeing that she’s accumulated £3,000,000 over a very short period of time allegedly, if it’s good enough for ordinary folks to have their accounts watched then it should definitely be ok for the better off amongst us.

Being fair, he has been in waiting since Partygate. As soon as the Boris Johnson government collapsed and burned, an election should have been called there and then. What is utterly shocking is the way these scandals keep happening in the UK and the way in which instead of facing up to it and reduce their occurence, we delay and the taxpayer ends up paying collosal sums not only for the inquiries but massive compensation. It’s very noticeable that both leaders mentioned the need for reform. We need to remember that the Tories want the NHS to fail in order to introduce yet more privatisation. Whilst Labour may use this to reduce privatisation and take back control.
@pirate_duck498527 күн бұрын
Obviously Keir had to bring up the failures within the NHS but it's a mine field for him whilst the c*ntservatives are in power. I can already hear "Even the leader of the opposition agrees the NHS isn't fit for purpose" thankfully they're in zombie mode & I don't think they'll do anything but that comment could easily be turned against him & used as an argument for more privatisation! NOT a properly run & funded NHS!
@GrahamRead10126 күн бұрын
Neither is the answer. We've got to get away from this "privatisation bad, public good". NHS should remain free at the point of deliver, but private sector absolutely is better for some things and a public provision better in others. The NHS needs alot of reform, but a centrally managed state control monolith is'nt the answer. Neither is a private insurance based system.

It’s a technique used by the rich and wealthy called stalling. You can take somebody to court in this country and have it stalled for six months to a year because someone’s name is spelt incorrectly on one of the documents or an address is wrong. Instead of having lawyers looking at the facts, they’re just looking to make sure that every eye is dotted and Tea is crossed. On the other side, they’re just searching frantically for a mistake to be able to stall further. That can go on and on and on. It’s worth pointing out that it’s only attacked used by the very rich and wealthy.
