Hi, i really appreciate your tuts, really helpful, just in my opinion, instead of using the istext , isblank or any "is" functions, to check for date or anything, i'd rather use this formula, =IF(SUM(D30:E30)>0,F29-E30+D30,"") To check if entry have been done in add or subtract column. This way the value in the balance column will only update when i enter a valid amount in the add or subtract column.

Again for the revenue and expenses, to determine if the value is less, equal, or more. in the calculation, you could just use: =ABS(B14-B15) The nested ifs will work like a charm.

I wanted to know if you can help me I'm stuck on this formula =IF(DAYS360(M3,TODAY(),TRUE)>0,DAYS360(M3,TODAY(),TRUE)&" Late","") but how do I get rid of the #VALUE! if the M3 cell is empty? its a loan payment sheet I need the days past due but nothing if there isn't a date entered yet. Thanks to this! Hav a questn. Can excel treat null as empty cel? Say i want excel to count all the cels that are empty in a column but i have a formula that goes all the way down to the last cel in the column. The formula returns different texts so i dont know eat logical value i can put so excel will treat the null values as empty cel. Hope u understand me. English is not my nativ language. Thanks in advance -john

Hi Mike, Another great video. Just a small query.... SEA and Oak both won (75+94)=169 games altogether.... No draw.... but when we calculated the total number of games it was 162..... why there's a difference of 7 games?

Because SEA and OAK both played 162 in the league, not just between them. The difference of 7 games is just coincidental. Their number of total game won can be anything between 0 to 324. Further if you add their individual number of games won and loss, it will be equal to 162.

You add their wins and get 169, but you don't know how many times they played each other without counting, so the difference between 162 & 169 is not "coincidental". The number 162 works for both of them, but there is no way to figure "162" based solely on their win ratio. Please explain this better because I still can't see how you pulled "162" out of the air...
