Tobi said himself that this song is heavily inspired by Meatloaf. This whole album is very different from all other Avantasia albums because it is more personal and this song especially. I think Tobi gave everything he could to this song, music and lyric wise. I think it is definitely one of the best Avantasia songs ever. I've heard this song live two times (their opening song was this one) and my gods, it was amazing every time. Actually i feel like I've written lyrics to this song because this song speaks on sooo many personal levels to me, especially that whole "I'm rumor, I'm nightmare.." part. If you wanna see good live recording of this song i suggest the one from Masters of rock 2019

This song is my favorite Avantasia song! It's amazing to sing along to. Have fun once you learn the lyrics. :) Fun fact about the album cover. The artist normally draws spooky children's art and had never done an album cover before. That's why it has that mystical look. I love it. I kinda like that it doesn't have a music video to go along with it because I'm free to let my imagination go. I always thought of the main character (like all Avantasia, this one's a rock/metal opera too) dancing in a field under a clear night sky, a light breeze causing tall grass to wave gently.

I met Tobias Sammet the singer and composer of Avantasia back in 1996 in Hamburg in the Metal-Pub „Headbangers Ballroom“ Avantasia doesn‘t exist at this time and he was there with his bandmate Tobias Exxel from their band Edguy... they was drunk as fuck but even tho they were funny and nice guys. Tobias Sammet is a genius when it comes to big projects like Avantasia. All the Great namens in metal genre join in when Avantasia is calling

Cheers for reacting👍 Definitely get those Meatloaf vibes from this as well. These guys have plenty more stage musical/rock opera sounding stuff to check out.

A laddie after my own mind, if you like your metal/rockish operas/musicals, then you've hit gold with Avantasia.

I can hear why Arjen Lucassen (Ayreon) had to use Tobias - great voice! and that choir! Competition? More like complimentary!

Two singers with ties to Dimash that you should look into Lara Fabian and Diana Ankudinova. The later also started very young, I just watched an Angelina reaction where you asked for young talent. Both blow your mind. Love your work.
