Hi Dr Caroline, If I may ask, what sorts of administrative duties that university lecturers in the UK have? Do these include preparing for accreditation for the courses / programs offered at university?

There are so many different admin duties. As a module leader I have to ensure my module appears correctly in the course catalogue, that key criteria are met for accreditation (this can be the topics covered, format of the assessments, working with the external examiner etc), assess student performance etc. As admissions tutor I have a range of tasks! I'll try to make a video on the different administrative roles :)

Do you have your own horse? I am interviewing for lecturing position now and not sure how willl I manage my horse, being a lecturer and being a single parent of 2 small kids. He is on full loan now bit I am considering selling. XX

Sadly not! I had a share for a while (used to go at lunchtime or early morning, yard was near the uni) and am hoping to loan soon (but he would be on working livery). Around key semester teaching & meetings there is some flexibility in working times. Could he maybe stay out on loan until you are settled with the job, or perhaps have a sharer? All the best for interviewing 😀

@@DrCST yes he will stay on loan for now till I figure things out. Thank you I have one itnerview tomorrow. The University is 30 minutes drive from me so things may be a bit chaotic with horse and school runs. Will see:-)
