KOK is the only who came ready for the interview... RMD seems detached from the reality of most of Nollywood,he was giving very vague and general answers that do very little in sorting the critical issues affecting the industry. Why was Ireti even here? She gets easily agitated by opinions that contradict hers,yet she's overall really clueless about everything... Out of the 3,KOK is the only one who still actively works in Lagos,Abuja,Asaba and Enugu and bold enough to point out critical areas that need work and solutions that might be beneficial to Nollywood. The interview would've been better and would've addressed more issues if we had KOK on the panel with "pro-Nollywood" practicioners like Hilda Dokubo,Segun Arinze or Fred Amata. .. RMD and Ireti can keep living in their own bubble.

The programme host was too abrupt in her questioning and kept interrupting. Finishing sentences she shouldn't and even had to be cautioned by Ireti. She is forming overconfidence which doesn't go down well in this interview and comes across as unprofessional. I hope Arise is taking note of the feedback in the comments section. But overall, good points were raised by these veteran actors, and I hope proper solutions can be found for the problems within Nollywood on all the issues raised.

Nigeria needs a functional body, not the dead Labour union, that will ensure that these businesses have insurances and that employees aren't over stretched at work. Insurances can pay out employees when there are accidents. Individuals need to have their personal insurances but in case where it hasn't happened, especially when these incidents happen at work place then company insurance comes in to help.
@librascaletv5 ай бұрын
I'm delighted she invited the true professionals, individuals who will undoubtedly bring clarity to the situation. The incident could have been prevented, and it's crucial for us, as actors and filmmakers, to own up to our responsibilities. The response from these invited guests has been exceptional; they approach matters with impartiality and objectivity.

That presentation was so poor looking a station like Arise that is gaining viewership across the world: She should direct her questions to one person at a time, not general questions. I think Arise should give her more chance and after which their is no improvement, she should be vehemently change. For the love of this tv station to arise to this occasion,pls thumps up...

@zholmie5 ай бұрын
They don't attend meetings because they don't see much value in it. The onus lies on the guild to run the association so well that the actors will be attracted to participate. Ireti made this point

@@zholmieYou are funny bro! Who will put values to the organization? Is it not you and I? Or is the holy ghost that will do the job for us? Bro! anything you want in life,you go and get it! As you are now,you want a house for yourself,you go,work hard and get it! Just say they are not interested in whatever that is happening there,if they are, they will be there. Kanayo goes to the meetings,does his contributions and comes out for any of their activities,that is him putting in his own quota for the growth of that organization,you staying in your house and waiting for people to do the work first,is you not being serious. Lastly,there was a reason RMD junior colleagues came to him to beg the producer to strike (it shows the level of respect and confidence they have in) then imagine RMD at those meetings,there will be values and orders.

This Ruth Osimhen presenter comes across as belligerent, rude, and ignorant. She interjects a lot with a very disrespectful tone. She also cuts off her guests while they are talking. "Do you have any last words, Richard"...and she gestures with her hand in a very disrespectful way towards RMD. Her vocal tone sounded monotonous, droning, unchanging in tone and lacklustred.

@@dominicdominic I don't really need to check other people's comments on this matter, even though I did, to provide and assessment about her contributions. As the title of the program suggests, she shared different perspectives concerning the issues being discussed. In some cases she agreed with others while in other cases she deferred by giving her points which made sense. For instance, on the issue of some actors not participating in the existing insurance system in the industry. She said, some actors don't participate not necessarily because they feel "big" already but that there was a need to make that system more appealing by providing incentives.
