Not so much celebrating, just observing where a trend can go. Marketers have been impacted by AI too (copywriters, data analysts etc), it’s important to look ahead so we can understand where to pivot. I don’t think a talented photographer will ever be replaced by AI, they’ll just need to pivot accordingly in the same way any technology advancement causes a shift in labour/employment. - T

I dislike how much AI is being adopted by Instagram. It's just kind of... fake. Like any rando who knows nothing can start a feed on something like nutrition just by Chat GPT text and Midjourney graphics. People don't need that kind of false authority. Also in the interior decor field, there's a growing dominance of interior feeds that are all AI generated rooms.

Completely valid. It'd be up to the platforms to monitor and handle that I'd hope, or us as consumers would have to quickly become more savvy to recognize when accounts aren't legit. It's definitely going to be interesting to say the least - C

Hi, that sounds like they're testing a new format on your account. It might change back or it might stay, they tend to do a lot of tests so sometimes things just switch up a little, nothing we can do ourselves - C

Very informative. I disagree about too polished on video. The more I make it polished, the less interaction. People want to relate still. Content is still king. Now I am not saying dark or blurry/crappy audio is in but not just as polished. I do think it's crazy not to shoot in 4K if you are able too. I always used my back camera. It is better. It makes me NUTS when people do partnerships or show a product and don't flip the video for logos lol.Happy New Year!

Fair points! You got to know what works for you, so if you're noticing that if you go too far with the polished videos that you're not getting engagement, then for sure keep them more casual. Just overall we've already started to notice that the TikTok-style, low quality videos aren't performing like they used to for ourselves and our clients, and we're seeing more higher quality stuff across the board in our feeds, but of course it doesn't apply to everyone. Hey, so it all depends on what you were trying to promote. If you have say a website with all of your tour dates, you could get people to comment "tour" on your post and then ManyChat would automatically send them the website so they could see dates and book tickets. You could also share your latest video, or even no link at all and just some jokes so you can bring them into the DM and get chatting - C

I don't think threads will be used in a large volume next year. People already don't like the fact that threads is pushed in their Facebook feed and Instagram feed not to mention they replaced the share story button with the threads button. So if you don't have threads, you're pushing that by muscle memory. So you have to remap yourself. They're pushing it regardless of whether You use it or not because they need engagement on there. Most of the big accounts that got on there That really made threat of wear because they were on that account. Most have not posted since threads came out.

Threads has become almost worse than Twitter in terms of inflammatory rage bait and large creators stealing content from smaller ones in 6 months. It's horrid. I've already cut it out of my 2024 marketing strategy.

@@christinec28 honestly, I find it so humorous how people say that Twitter is like that and yet the truth of the matter is your Twitter is only like that if you engage with it. It's just like any other platform if you engage with it. If you always see the news and then you talk about it. It's always going to be on your feed because I have my fitness one and my photography account and both of those look completely different on X. It just goes to show how much people project

That's fair. It's quite possible that people will push back against Meta's pushing the app too hard. Overall, Meta has always won so our guess is that it will more than likely pick up, especially as they add more features to it, including ways to remove the spam/negativity. Great question - we've seen no indication that they're planning on doing that, but I think it'd be a great thing. I imagine it would discourage the paid verification, however, which could be why it isn't a thing as yet. - C

That would be spectacular! I don't know if it's technically possible, mostly because KZbin doesn't have a DM feature so MC would have to switch up their business model but maybe for comments with links? Seeing as links work in comments on YT, that could actually be a thing - great call! :) - C
