Just like Tommy Rich was the guy that Steve Corino connected with when he first started to watch wrestling, Jack Victory and Ted DiBiase were those guys for me. I was 14 years old in 1985 and Mid South was my introduction to pro wrestling. I saw this big, blonde guy with a mullet in a mixed tag team match with a midget, and l thought he looked like an older version of myself, though come to find out now, he was only 7 years older, and his name was Jack Victory. I quickly took note, and said, "that's my guy! I'm going to follow his career wherever he goes, and stick with him whether he's a heel or a face". And I did, although I lost track of him in the mid-90s when he went to ECW. I'm glad to know he's still around, and still looks relatively healthy

Wow. Wouldn't have recognized him. He looks a lot better than most of the dudes from his generation. I know it sounds completely absurd but maybe someone actually took care himself after leaving the pro wrestling business. I never realized how big he was either.

Jacko was great. I got to work with Jacko and RIP Morgan for a while on the indies and those guys taught me so much about tag team wrestling, and they even told other bookers in some territorys about me and got me picked up by USWA and WWC. Lots of respect for these guys they are true good brothers.

See, that me like him even more. It's great he's cool enough to get you bookings by telling bookers about you. It's easier to be cool to people than be a dick.

That’s the problem with majors and indies. Get these legends like Jack Victory to help the next generation to be true Pro Wrestlers.

Wild West Wrestling was outdrawing World Class but both were hurting.UWF was gone before Wild West started.WWW started in July 4th & ended late Nov or early Dec as a rival to World Class.Early December World Class & Wild West merged.Wild West still had tv so they still ran cards as WWW but were no longer competitors to WCCW so guys from both promotions could be seen on either show
@impalaman97072 жыл бұрын
I remember seeing Wild West for the first time (1987?), when both UWF and WCCW had gotten stale, and what I saw with that league was a bunch of exciting looking up-and-coming wrestlers, the likes of which the other two leagues were no longer showing

Way better than RF video. I really enjoy the follow up questions and detail. RF video just uses a same general question and applies it to every person and skips around aimlessly instead of digging in and expanding on things.
@KayFabe873 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Rob just follows the script of pre-written questions and never follows up or leverages the opportunities presented to him to unpack some of the stories behind the answers before simply moving on to the next question in the script. So many missed opportunities to get some more in depth stories and perspectives from those being interviewed.

I've had a Highspots Network subscription for 2 years and it's for content just like this....somehow I missed this on the network but WOW, great interview from an AWESOME talent and EXTREMELY underrated guy. I'll have to browse back through but I don't recall much with Hollywood John Tatum or Rugged Rod Price and I'd love to see similar content with those two......I'd also HIGHLY recommend the Tracey Smothers interview and the real treat for ANYONE who grew up watching wrestling on ESPN weekday afternoons at 4pm the interview with The Flamboyant Eric Embry.....it's amazing. Thanks Highspots!
