My Wife and I watch two episodes every night. Before the ending we both guess as to what Dan will say. I nailed it tonight on this episode with "the clowns in the circus are really funny, but they re murder on the highway". I'm 65 and remember seeing these in reruns in the early 60's.

In a nutshell. The missing part has Dan sending one of his officers dressed as a cycle rider to the dinner. When Bernie pulls the gun on him Dan, who is watching nearby, swoops in and makes the collar for assault with a deadly weapon.

Although I watched the show while growing up in the fifties my memories were refreshed when one of our local stations began showing the episodes in syndication along with other old shows like "Sea Hunt"" Flipper" and "Mr. Ed".{They still do).

John A. I found the entire video! highway patrol 1X27 but video has been removed for some unknown reason! Picture was very clear. Wish I knew what happened. Anyway, husband was arrested for threatening undercover cop and beating his "cycle" Plus using his weapon as a treat to cop and Clint and his good buddy, Was very funny when Dan arrested Birney the weirdo!!!

S P O I L E R A L E R T Dan sets up a sting by having a motorcycle cop pose as a lightning bug and return to the cafe, As expected the bully pulled his shotgun while Dan watched from across the street. When confronted with his crime (assault with a deadly weapon 2 count) the bully defended his actions. But then the wife gave a new statement.
