I never would have imagined that it was possible for a single character having a one-sided conversation against a black background with the occasional glare of headlights to be able to create a whole world, but Sebastian proved me wrong. While the acting was phenomenal, I'm really interested in who wrote this. How the heck did they-in under eight minutes of screenplay-show the nuance of a view of what a pure life really means? I'm stunned.

Can we just take a moment to admire the talent and the monologue? Sebastian Stan is such a great acting star, his perfomance is so palpable, you know? Like when you talk to a person and you can just see in their eyes how they're feeling or how they react genuinly. For example this video, i do believe this is some guy just trying to get lift while talking to someone who he doesn't know, slowly discovering himself in such a short time that by the end he doesn't extend his arm to call a lift, you see that in his eyes! So much talent, so much beauty, this is awesome.

Prince Jack in the TV show Kings, Bucky Barnes and the Winter Soldier in Captain America, TJ in Political Animals. All of these characters are played to perfection by Sebastian.
@lilygardner40358 жыл бұрын
+mia allen I am right there with you on every account. I kind of giggled at first because all I knew of this was the animal section. Man, this performance is giving me emotional whiplash. I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe, and then I'm holding my breath so enthralled, and kinda saddened by what he's saying. Because this how I feel: He's hitchhiking to get away from people and the world to be alone with nature. To get away from humanity because they've done enough. If I'd ever hitchhike, just all across the country for a while, it would be the for exact opposite reason. I'd do it to meet people. To go out and stumble across people and places I never would have found before, to share ideas and experience how vast and wonderful humans can be. It's so odd yet completely human, how two people can be doing the exact same thing, be in the same situation, for exact opposite reasons.

beinghumangirl I didn't, but I identified with the sense of alienation, and a desperate instinct to do something good in the world--even if that means fading into the void, a prospect that's haunting this character.

After CATWS, I got curious of this guy. I've had only seen him in Hot Tub Machine. I'm so glad I found this. I really hope he gets recognized and not just be known as the guy who plays The Winter Soldier. He's a great fucking actor. This has me thinking of Tom Hardy in Bronson. Hopefully Sebastian breaks out as well.
