nope not anymore...and work trade hosts are really interested in taking advantage of girls especially girls looking for room and board in a trade for painting/cleaning duties etc. By taking advantage I mean raping them, or enslaving them to be raped by many. You could try being a nanny through Great Aupair but I couldn't find anyone there who was actually safe or wanted to keep me. They will suddenly abandon you and force you to be homeless with zero warnings if they decide one day that they do not like you. Some people get raped or trafficked through Great Aupair. But some people are able to find decent people to live with. There is also something called World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. I had some violent dangerous rapey-type creeps and drug addicts plus a couple of decent kind people when trying this in America, and a better experience with it in South Korea. Some people are using these websites to look for slaves and they will actually tell you that you are their slave one they have brought you to their home to work. In these cases you have to figure out a way to escape before they do something violent to you. I had problems with women who were farmers and painters of nude people who continuously harassed me to take off my clothes, but didn't rape me. You have to make sure that the farmer or host has gotten your stay okayed by another person in the house that they are living with because if your host asks you to come and stay but they never told their husband, wife, or ex about you, then they will throw you out and you will be homeless once the other person tells them to. If you are currently getting raped like I have been in the past because you looked for a boarding house and they have captured you and are hurting you, please contact CARDV at 1-541-754-0110 and they will help you figure out a plan to escape. It's better to get a job and rent a room in some place with some people. Pay for the room with your job. Or pick a degree you like, go to college and get financial aid to pay for your room or dorm. Much safer than trying to trade work for a room/board situation.

Michael Landon absolutely did NOT do drugs. He admitted to using prescription drugs (Yes, the Valium) when he was 1st getting started in the business but quickly realized how bad it was and stopped. As for the alcohol - YES! They all drank on the set. It's probably what led to his cancer. Along with the smoking. They weren't drunk though..Everyone says they were the most efficient professionals on a Hollywood set. Always finished on time and below budget - which Michael Landon then shared with cast and crew!
