Throughout the episodes there are a few times where he looks up to heaven like he is praying to God like we all should do when we question things that God is doing but we come to God with a soft voice and a voice of love knowing that he is in control. There is nothing wrong with questioning God as long as it's done in love and in prayer. The episode where he tore the trunk off the car he was told in his heart specifically not to do that but he did his own will therefore he had to stand before God and be called up to heaven. But I always like it when Jonathan looks up to heaven and prays to God like we all do seeking help like a father even if it is a question or a prayer.

This episode hit me straight in a heart. Entire big family of my father was murdered while he was in a POW camp. I never had aunts, uncles, cousins or second set of grandparents. I also experienced the anti-antisemitism on my own skin in a communist country and with horror I watch it today in this country that ones was a great country of the free. History is repeating, how do we stop it? I can only imagine what Michael Landon felt working on this episode being a Jew himself. NEVER AGAIN. I am writing and crying, still trying to understand what makes people so hateful and cruel, probably never will.

I think if we can do away with religion, religious dogma and beliefs we can do away with hatred and prejudice. With or without religion you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things but for good people to do evil things that takes religion.

What nonsense. Germany took God out of their culture in the 1930's and 50 million people died because of it, not to mention all the millions of deaths under communist regime's like the USSR. You're either incredibly naive or plain dumb.
