“The Golden Age of Hollywood,” those were the days when movies were made without profanity, vulgarity and blasphemy. Such depravity might have been in the outtakes of the movies from 30s, 40s and 50s, but not in the final production when the movie came to the big screen. 😉
@juneberry19824 жыл бұрын
True, but the sad part is what happened within the studios, especially MGM. There was sex, drugs, child molestation, starvation, all kinds of bad crap. I think Judy Garland got the worst of it, at least of what has been revealed. :(

@Christopher Tsilliacos , et al. If you pause during the opening credits at 2:36 there's a black-and-white still of a real young Jackie Cooper, I believe. (Perry White from the "Superman" films) As a former child actor, he pushed for better studio labor laws in Hollywood, Ca. So that actors don't get exploited and mistreated like he and sadly others were.

So sick of reading all of these nasty comments on these threads arguing about religious differences! If you don't like Christians, that is fine, keep it to yourself! I don't understand why these long, preachy comments are posted. Why are you so determined to disprove a Bible that you say you don't believe in? I happen to be a Christian, but I don't criticize people of other faiths because what they believe in does not affect me and is none of my business. If you're strong in what you believe in, what others believe should not bother you. Remember, this show is fictional. anyway. Almost none of it rings true to me theologically, but it's entertainment and I like Michael Landon and Victor French. Sorry, but arguing about religion is pretty low!

If this were supernatural, his partners sister would be after him wanting him and him being an angel he would be dismissive and would not be inclined, but eventually with her throwing it hard enough and him secretly finding the daughters of men attractive but not his main objective, she would end up get pregnant with a nephilim then good to wrap till next season. :p

Yeah, it's a good show for passing a free hour but I really doubt God would send an angel to Hollywood to help out anyone in the film industry there. Maybe I'm just too judgemental but there's nothing there that seems redeemable to me. I had just a slight amount of experience there in the 80's and it was sin central. If you wanted even a slight role you had to lay on the casting couch. All male actors have been on that couch also. Every one of them. I wouldn't and couldn't do it so it was back home for me. I was only 18 and had done modeling for local clothing adds and was asked to come to LA and try out. I didn't even understand what the guy was suggesting but when I figured it out I was gone. I felt like vomiting on the street. That place and the whole industry is wicked. I can't imagine that Michael Landon got to where he was without playing along, although he's a good actor and I like this show.
