HIJAB made me Accept Islam

As I made my first steps into public, I felt like that scarf was strangling me. I could feel the bottom of it cutting into my neck, creating that weird tingly feeling that makes you want to laugh and cry at the same time. I felt like all eyes were on me, and I am sure my face was bright red, either from embarrassment or from lack of oxygen.

A khimar in arabic is a covering. Like a covering for the floor, table, window. It’s a physical covering of something. The aya says to strike a covering over their pockets. The term pockets is used because it has a physical and psychological meaning. God didn’t use the term breast or chest deliberately. The Koran never talked specifically about hair covering. That’s what we humans made it. The interpretations nowadays about the Koran, and not only about the hijab, are really worrying. The hijab has been materialised. The Koran has been materialised. This is really concerning. I really hope muslim women start to open this discussion, because after all, they are wearing the symbol of the materialised Islam. It’s time to go back to the essence of Islam, and to fulfil our journey in this world as was asked by God, not by sheiks that are imposing interpretations that are dividing us, and are leading is to an earthly existing.

I opened my KZbin and KZbin recommended an another video of the hijabis and I watched it completely I felt something which was very soothing I subscribed and liked the video. And I got an another recommendation which was this one and lately my relatives and my mom always tell me to wear hijab but I dint and I only wore when I have to meet them that was one of habits bcoz I also had some irritation and thought all people are staring at me ... And everyone told me to wear always but I was like I'm 12 why should I wear? I am a child, I don't need and 12 of my life I dint wear a hijab except for meeting my relatives and prayers and now after watching this video something in my body is telling me to wear hijab and accept it I really appreciate it and InshaAllah I will be wearing a hijab... :)
