I think there is no reason to picture any other women when describing Our mother Khadijah ra. It subconsciously sets a picture of women shown whenever name of Khadijah ra is heard. It's just my thought.

Differing views on previous marriages Edit Sunni version Edit Khadija(1st Muslim) married three times and had children from all her marriages. While the order of her marriages is debated, it is generally believed that she first married Atiq ibn 'A'idh ibn' Abdullah Al-Makhzumi and second Malik ibn Nabash ibn Zargari ibn at-Tamimi.[18] To Atiq, Khadija bore a daughter named Hindah. This marriage left Khadija a widow.[19] With Malik, she had two sons, who were named Hala and Hind.[20] Malik also left Khadija a widow, dying before his business became a success.[21] Khadija subsequently proposed to Muhammad when he was 25 years old and she was 40 years old. In so doing, she consulted her cousin Waraqah ibn Nawfal ibn Asad ibn 'Abdu'l-'Uzza.[17] According to the traditional Sunni narrative, when Muhammad reported his first revelation from the Angel Gabriel (Jibril), Khadija was the first person to accept Al-Haqq The Truth i.e. she accepted Islam.[39] After his experience in the cave of Hira, Muhammad returned home to Khadija in a state of terror, pleading for her to cover him with a blanket. After calming down, he described the encounter to Khadija, who comforted him with the words that Allah would surely protect him from any danger, and would never allow anyone to revile him as he was a man of peace and reconciliation and always extended the hand of friendship to all.[21] According to some sources, it was Khadija's cousin, Waraqah ibn Nawfal, who confirmed Muhammad's prophethood soon afterwards. Khadija was supportive of Muhammad's prophetic mission, always helping in his work, proclaiming his message and belittling any opposition to his prophecies.[39] It was her encouragement that helped Muhammad believe in his mission and spread Islam.[41] Khadija also invested her wealth in the mission. When the polytheists and aristocrats of the Quraysh harassed the Muslims, she used her money to ransom Muslim slaves and feed the Muslim community.[42][43] In 616 the Quraysh declared a trade boycott against the Hashim clan. They attacked, imprisoned and beat the Muslims, who sometimes went for days without food or drink.[44] Khadija continued to maintain the community until the boycott was lifted in late 619 or early 620 Khadija died in 'Ramadan of the year 10 after the Prophethood',[45] i.e., in November 619 CE. Muhammad later called this tenth year the 'Year of Sorrow', as his uncle and protector Abu Talib also died at this time.[46] Khadija is said to have been about 65 years old at the time of her death.[47] She was buried in Jannat al-Mu'alla cemetery, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia Shia version Edit Ibn Shahrashub quoted from al-Sayyid al-Murtada in al-Shafi and al-Shaykh al-Tusi in al-Talkhis that Khadija was a virgin when she married Muhammad.[22] In addition, considering the cultural and intellectual situation in Hijaz and high position and status of Khadija al-Kubra among other people, it is improbable that she would have married men from Banu Tamim or Banu Makhzum (the two 'low' tribes).[23] According to researchers,[who?] two children attributed to Khadija were the children of Hala, Khadija's sister. After the death of Hala's husband, Khadija took care of Hala and (after Hala's own death) Hala's children.[24] Khadija was 40 when she was married to Muhammad.[25][26][27][28] However, other sources claim that she was aged approximately 25-28 or 30. At the age of 25 Muhammad married his first wife the widow Khadija bint Khuwaylid. This marriage lasted for 25 years. After her death in 619 CE,[3] he married a total of 12 women over the remaining years of his life. From these wives, two bore him children: Khadija and Maria al-Qibtiyya. All of Muhammad's wives were widows, with the exception of Aisha("Mother of the Believers"). Khadija is often referred to by Muslims as 'The Mother of Believers'. In Islam, she is an important female figure as one of the four 'ladies of heaven', alongside her daughter Fatimah, Asiya(Foster mother of Moses), and Maryam.[3] Prophet Muhammad was monogamously married to her for 25 years.

Didnt Hala outlive her? It is due to a story about Prophet Muhammad saw was hearing knocked on his door, the knocking sound was similar to knock made by Khadijah r.a, and it turned out that Hala was in front of the door, visited the Prophet saw. They talked about Khadijah r.a for a long time.

@@faradayan3878 i just hate polygamy, no religion can justify that
@fahadmarzouq49924 жыл бұрын
@@kanekikun1930 many Muslim women also hate polygamy and that's understandable because of jealousy but most accept it because All-Mighty Allah allowed it as it says in the Quran. to clear some things the prophet (S.A.W) didn't marry another women when Khadijah Bint Khuwaylid was alive it happened after her death. Also all the prophet wives were widowed or divorced except one. at the time many people offered the finest most beautiful and richest to the prophet but he refused because he did not care about wealth or beauty. he married women who needed some one to take care of them. the main reason or wisdom the prophet married so many because to spread religion and to show people how to treat your wives or women in general so if he had more women it would be easier to spread religion. for an example the brother of one of his wives visit his sister and ask her what does the prophet do or say in his house and she would tell him. in Islam the prophet words are called Hadith. and you will find that there are many Hadith that have a beautiful massage to us on how to treat wives or women in general and many other useful things some will even shock on how true or helpful his words are. now for polygamy in general as i said above because All-Mighty Allah allowed it as it says in the Quran. there are other commands that other may hate like zakat. once in a year a Muslim pay zakat and money he pays goes to poor Muslims now some very rich Muslim may don't like zakat but accept it because it is a command that's the first reason. second reason is that there are more women than men so there will be some Muslim women who isn't married because no one will take her but some married men can. third reason for an offsprings. now if you hate it because how can someone love his wife while he married to another. let me just tell that there some married couple who are don't love each other even if the man isn't married to another women. so love isn't a factor to take to say polygamy is wrong. also polygamy isn't mandatory in Islam like zakat but every Muslim should accept it that is exist and some people will marry more than one women. hope that helps you. I as a Muslim accept whatever Allah say because he is the All-Knowing

@@kanekikun1930 " i just hate polygamy, no religion can justify that" That's your problem. You're not being rational, you're not using your intellect. You're basing your judgment on your emotions, and that's wrong and dangerous.
