when it says go near your device and click on the left. it actually means you have to click at the left corner of the window asking for password in the DVR. it worked for me. thanks!

Thanks it worked.. I need to correctly input device serial by looking at the monitor of DVR. than i got the recovery password from the website given in the video. I had to put manually, the recovery password on my DVR monitor. It worked. Thanks a lot

That was pretty st fwd. I faced difficulty while registering with Hikvision and later went through. Next was the connectivity:Used a Cat6 cable to connect the device to my laptop and finally succeeded. Thanks for the guidance!

Hi angelo, when you switch on the DVR you will get a screen to enter username and password. on that screen you have to double click on left corner then you will get that serial number and security code window.. Thank you.
